Yard Sale for the Cure, presented by RE/MAX, is an opportunity to turn the stuff you no longer need into funds to help support breast cancer research. One hundred percent of every dollar donated from a hosted YSC sale goes directly to one of the chosen recipient breast cancer research and treatment centers across the country.
In 2007, Yard Sale for the Cure had a total of 1,200 registered yard sales and there were yard sales in every province of the country. $150,000 in donations was raised in total.
Special thanks to Rachael Smith and Andrew Howard for their continued support of the registered charity. In addition, thanks to all participants who took the time and energy to host a yard sale event in their community, as well as all those who came out to support the event. This is truly a grass roots event that drives a further sense of community while raising funds to help beat breast cancer.
Mark your calendars for 2008 – Saturday, May 31st and support this wonderful event by holding your own yard sale or shopping at the yard sales in your community.
