July 3rd

  • The Sausage League — Round six of Marben‘s Sausage League will be held in the Habord Room, where Parts & Labour will compete to prepare the best sausage dish. A plate of sausage and two beers is $25.
  • Not Far from the Tree — A $25 donation in support of saving fruit in Toronto will buy a ticket to this year’s launch party at 401 Richmond. In celebration of this great cause, participants will be able to enjoy succulent dishes prepared by Ruby Watchco, 416 Snack Bar, SOMA, and Prairie Girl Bakery.
  • Family Night Pizza at Pizza Libretto — Every Wednesday until late August at the Evergreen Brick Works, stop in for a quick slice of pizza and a salad for only $3, between 5:30 and 8pm.

July 5th

  • Summerlicious — From July 5th to the 21st, 150 of Toronto’s top restaurants will offer an array of fixed-price menus, from $15-$45. Check the website to locate participating restaurants.
  • Taste of St. Lawrence — Continuing until the 7th at the Wexford Heights Business Improvement Centre, there will be many great international and culture dishes for Torontonians to sample for free.

July 14th

  • Rhino Summer Beer Festival — Admission to this year’s Canadian Beer News event is free after 1pm; however, if you wish to purchase a VIP ticket ($20), or VIP ticket with food sampling ($40), be sure to get your pass this week as quantities last. 

July 15th

  • Grillin’ and Chillin’ —  Presented by the Culinary Adventure Company, Grillin’ and Chillin’ will be held at the Fuel House; doors open 6:30pm, $95 per person. All ticket purchases include a BBQ lesson from Jason Rees.

July 20th

  • Thrill of the Grill — Check-out the fourth annual Thrill of the Grill event at Broadview and Jackman Ave., July 20th, noon to 4pm. Tickets are $16.25 and include 7 ribs and coleslaw, ESKA water, as well as samples of Steamwhistle, Gnarly Head Winery, and Second Cup. This year’s celebrity judges are Chef Lynn Crawford and Dr. Georg Bjarnason. Competing at this event, five of Danforth’s best: Allen’s, Factory Girl, Globe Bistro, The Combine Eatery, and The Meat Department.

July 26th

  • Toronto’s Festival of Beer — Beginning July 26th and carrying through to the 28th, get ready for the 19th annual Festival of Beer. Over the weekend, attendees will have the chance to indulge in fine grilled foods and premium beers. Tickets are $39.50 and include live entertainment.
