Max Mercier Memorial Breakfast

I’m an avid motorcyclist who enjoys riding on the street and track. I’ve also had the pleasure to be associated with a lot of great people since I’ve been in the sport. One of the associations I made was with a young racer, Rahul Dua, who is now the Team Manager and Racer for GoLo Racing. I’m also proud to say that I’m one of their associate sponsor this year and had to honor to be part of the Max Mercier Charity Breakfast over the weekend.

The event is in the memory of Max Mercier, son of Michel Mercier owner of FAST riding school in Shannonville Motorsport Park in Shannonville, Ontario, who was killed in a freak accident during the AM600 RACE in June 2005. Press Release

This year’s event was held on May 3, 2008 and started early at 6:00 AM for us when we started preparing breakfast for the riders. For some of us, it started the night before by bringing supplies to the track. It was an event filled with a lot of work, joy of a new day dawned and sorrow of a lost rider who was like a brother to a lot of racers. The event was extremely successful with a lot of riders and spectators coming through and showing their support by donating to the worthy cause.

Thank you to all our volunteers that helped put this together

Mr. and Mrs. Mercier

I’m excited about the association and am personally looking forward to continuing my support for this cause and help in avoiding any such incident in the future.
