The $666 “Douche Burger”

A food truck in New York City is selling a $666 hamburger. Dubbed the “Douche Burger”, it contains lobster, caviar, truffles, and a beef patty wrapped in six sheets of gold leaf.

How safe is this burger to eat may you ask? Well apparently, there is no harm done as pure gold passes through the human digestive system without being absorbed into the body.

Edible gold leaf also has no taste, texture, calories, or expiration date, and costs between $120 to $160 per gram.

To me, this sounds more like a marketing ploy to get tourists and people to visit their food truck, where they will probably end up buying off their regular menu consisting of reasonably priced burgers. Smart.
