Toronto’s First Cat Cafe

Recently, BlogTO announced the opening of Toronto’s first cat cafe. There have been many rumors that a cat cafe would soon be opening in the city, and TOT The Cat Cafe won the race!

Located at College and Spadina, the cafe offers espresso based drinks and loose leaf teas to sip on while you listen to the purr of cats. A max of 12 people are allowed in the cat room at one time.

BlogTO explains, “inside the room, there are just a couple more rules to follow: refrain from flash photography and from picking up the cats (if they decide to come cuddle in your lap, then by all means let ’em). If there’s a long waiting list, then there may also be limits imposed on how much time you can spend in the room.”

All of the cats are up for adoption with the Toronto Humane Society. Information about each cat selected for the cat cafe is on a board. BlogTO reports that “many of the cats here are black, as they tend to have the lowest adoption rates.”

Are you ready to get your caffeine fix while making a furry new friend?
