It’s nice to see service when you see it!

I’m in a business where service matters and I strive to provide the best to my clients but even then there’s always room for improvement and we try to implement a 360 degree feedback from our clients on how we can make things better.

I was out showing properties on Tuesday in Newmarket and once all the properties were viewed with my client, we decided that we should stop for coffee at a local Timmies and review the properties we have seen and if there’s any worth pursuing. So, we made our way to the Tim Horton close to 404 and Davis but to our surprise (and since my GPS can’t tell) the Tim Horton was under construction and wasn’t one you could sit in. I suggested to my clients that we go for lunch and they opted to go to Wendy’s which was next door.

You would think that this post is about me or what I did or what my client said but it’s actually about the Wendy’s manager! You see, when we had ordered our food and were sitting down and reviewing the properties, a gentleman came and asked if everything was okay and if we needed something, “maybe a refill!”

Maybe it’s me and I don’t usually eat in fast food places but that took me by surprise and even prompted me to write about it in this blog. What a fresh thinking! All he did was go from table to table and greeted everyone to the restaurant and asked if he could get them something. As we were leaving, he came by to say goodbye too.

It’s these kind of behaviors that generate brand loyalty. I’m not sure if Wendy’s has a corporate intiative going about this or if this manager is truly original… but I for one was impressed!

If anyone of you is a restaurant owner and is looking for a manager, i recommend you give the guy a call!!!
